Native American SL

A letter to the editor caught my eye a few weeks ago and sent me on a search for sims and sites that truly depicted the Native American culture in sl.
My first visit took me to International Island where I found a wonderful note card with directions to several fascinating sites.
There is a Tipitp which is part of the SL Native Community Project of the Red Rock Mesa Arts Cooperative.
My first tour was to the Spirit Lakota in Soyuz.
What a delight!
The village there is filled with pose balls that let you explore the wonders of Indian crafts, accompanied by Native American music and drums.
You can sample some of the tribal dances or try the drums as you wander through the village or turn off the music and listen to the sounds of nature that fit so well.
You will find some costumes there for the taking. Don’t miss it!!
One of my other favorite places was Turtle Island , Home to Red Rock -Native Lands.
Here you can explore and climb high to see arts and crafts in a small town reminiscent of one I visited high in the sky in New Mexico.
We happened upon a storytelling.
Cyon Manga gave us some tales from the Native culture, some funny, some sad.
All along the way in my travels I saw some lovely pieces of art and woven rugs for sale along with Native American clothing, artifacts and furnishings.
I hope you will look for the note card at the International Island and use the Tipitp for a tour of the old west.
Also in the tipitp you will be directed to some role playing , learning and re-enactment sites in sl.
Be aware, I did not visit every site listed, just in case a tp is no longer correct.
If you don’t have time to look for it ask me and I will send it off to you.
