Anyone looking for a wonderful place to call home in Second Life need look no farther than the Acores, complete with white sandy beaches, warm ocean waves, and beautiful sunsets. Acores is the French word for the Azores, a group of nine islands in the middle of the Atlantic. Sim owner Arkina Arai and partner Vik Stenvag have clearly captured the spirit of the Azores here.
Akina says, “We have tried to create a beautiful oasis of peace and security, in which the residents know that they are our top priority.” Vik refers to himself modestly as the “gardener,” but the careful layout shows that he is truly a master sim designer and terraformer. Each 4096 square meter parcel allows 937 prims and residents have their choice to have a house or not. Inland plots are L$20K, beach front parcels are L$25K, and the one remaining corner plot is L$30K. There are also a couple of plots now available to rent. Each plot is individually and lovingly landscaped. The covenant provides top quality 24-hour security and monitoring on a new class 5 server.

New residents each receive a Welcome Pack, complete with a jetski. Common areas include the Angra Lounge in which residents can hold parties, watch SLTV or movies, read newspapers or just hang out with friends.
